The idea of having a shop selling quality products that will not only bring joy to the consumers, but also to the producers came when I was on a trip to Bhutan. It was also through the wonderful connection in Bhutan that I was introduced to the founder of Ana by Karma, Ms Quin. It confirmed to me that this will be the right way to go by not only selling products from mainstream producers, but also to help those non-mainstream producers to increase their exposures and market share of their products. This will help to increase their income and hence, help to lift their families out of poverty and gain more certainty in life.

Thus, this give rise to The Happiness Centre, i.e. The Happiness Shop. With the motto of “Buying a Gift of Happiness, Giving the Gift of Happiness!” I hope that with this online, e-Commerce platform, I will be able to source for more products that are produced by charitable organisations or producers who have a worthy cause. I look forward to be able to play a small part to help in making a difference in the lives of these producers.
